Let’s Share the Wealth!
As you know the PTSA All Night Grad Party Committee arranges for a spectacular, safe, alcohol and drug-free send-off for our graduating seniors every year. The cost for this event large, however studies have shown that schools who host such an event have fewer graduation night tragedies.
Ticket prices only cover about half of the actual cost of the event. The rest of the cost must be acquired through various fundraisers. The bulk of the remaining funds are raised during the annual ANGP Mulch Sale. It is always successful (last year we sold almost 18,000 bags of mulch!!), however it takes a tremendous number of volunteer hours to deliver all of that mulch to the community.
Eventually, every Westfield student will benefit from the All Night Grad Party. Unfortunately in our busy world it is difficult to make students see that giving of their time will reap rewards in the long run. We never seem to have enough volunteers to deliver all of the mulch before nightfall.
To help generate more volunteer help, we would like to offer a win/win proposition:
ANGP has put aside up to $4,000 for incentives to teams or groups who help with mulch delivery. This can be split between organized Westfield groups (sports teams, clubs, etc.) based on percentage of participation. To be eligible groups must:
- Be an established Westfield Organization.
- Sponsor or Coach must register with ANGP in advance (by_______________)
- Each volunteer must work at least one 4 hour block.
- Those who work more than 4 hours will be eligible for individual prize incentives (drawings for gift cards and prizes).
- Volunteers who belong to more than one group may only designate 1 group per 4 hour block
- Students must sign in and out and designate club/team to be counted.
