Mulch sales continue – with sales of delivered mulch being over 75% sold out!  Mulch Weekend is April 10 and 11, 2015:  The high quality, hardwood mulch is being sold for $4.95 per bag, of which $2.65 per bag is a qualified tax-deductible donation (please consult your tax advisor for details).  This is a 100% volunteer driven event and as such, we are limited in the number of bags of mulch that we can deliver. Please order early to ensure free delivery (15 bag minimum order needed for free delivery) – we are half sold out on delivery eligible mulch already!   **Delivery area limited to Westfield boundaries, but anyone outside the boundaries is welcome to order and pick up mulch at Westfield! **

Many, many volunteers will be needed on Mulch weekend! Parents and students of all grade levels, please mark your calendars and help with this community event! Deliveries will take place on Friday evening, April 10th and all day Saturday, April 11th. To sign up, please visit:

Students earn service hours, prizes and/or credit for their club, team or other WHS affiliated organization whose coach/sponsor has signed up with the TIPS program. SENIORS who volunteer are entered into a separate prize drawing for a free ANGP ticket!

Class of 2015 Grad Celebration, June 19th:  Tickets are on sale for the 2015 All Night Graduation Celebration (ANGP).  The event will take place at Alto Plaza and will feature many fun activities, such as a casino, bull riding, dancing to a fantastic DJ, and lots of food, prizes and more! Tickets ae $65 if purchased by March 31st.  Prices go up after that. To order a ticket, please visit ANGP Tickets.

The WeSTEP program is back! Eligible seniors are invited to become part of this year’s WeSTEP internship program. WeSTEP stands for Westfield Senior Transition Enrichment Program and any senior with a GPA of 2.5 or higher and good attendance may apply to be part of the May 27th-June 10th internship program. For information, contact Ms. Lee at pylee@fcps.edu. The application can be found on the PTSA website under the Students tab.

WeSTEP sponsors are also needed in many fields including accounting, business, sales, marketing, aerospace technology, IT, medicine, physical therapy, computer science, law, law enforcement, and the fire department. Please contact Ms. Lee at pylee@fcps.edu if you think you might be able to host an intern between May 27th and June 10th.  Information is listed under the Students tab on the PTSA website.

The WHS PTSA Scholarship applications are now available either online at the PTSA web site or in the career center.  Applications are due by April 27, 2015 at 2:30 pm.  Please read all directions carefully.

Thank you to everyone who has joined the PTSA already this year!  We welcome and encourage anyone who hasn’t yet joined to join and be part of the academic booster organization! The PTSA strives to help all students and staff succeed.  Membership is only $10 for the first adult member, $5 for additional adult members, student members and staff members.  A bargain!  And, any additional Bulldog Bankroll donation is tax deductible, as the PTSA is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization. The membership form can be found at PTSA Membership Form   Please be part of the impact and become a member today. Thank you.

Finally, we are beginning to plan for next year’s PTSA board and committee positions.  Open will be (though not limited to): 1st Vice President, Secretary, Bulldog BBQ Co-Coordinator, Silent Auction Chair/Co-Chair, and SAT/ACT Practice Test Chair.  If you are interested in learning more about any position, please contact Cathy Pisarcik.

For a complete list of businesses and individuals who donated to this year’s silent auction, please visit Bulldog BBQ information page.  We greatly appreciate the support of our business community and ask that you consider supporting these businesses that support us!
